Drake discusses the challenges of touring, his team, and hip hop today. Toronto-based producer Noah “40″ Shebib, a fundamental piece to the puzzle that has become a successful start in Drizzy’s career as a musician, is also featured on the documentary. Stussy x Ren & Stimpy Tee

Canadian animator, John Kricfalusi’s work on the 1990’s animated TV series, Ren & Stimpy has his characters featured on this new Stussy release. Having previously collaborated with The Ren & Stimpy show, Stussy brings a clean, light-hearted approach to this design which shows the iconic duo interact with the Shawn-Stussy “SS” chain logo. The tee will be available from June 26 through Stussy stores.

Steve Nash on Entourage

BC’s NBA All-star, Steve Nash made a cameo appearance on Sunday’s episode of the HBO series, Entourage. Nash, who has been very busy this summer made a quick appearance on the show in an awkward, but humorous moment in a scene with George Segal and Kevin Connolly (Eric). In response to E’s relationship problems with Ashley, Nash made his acting debut with the amusing line “Ouch Bro.”

Grounded TV is a Canadian culture Station in the midst of an evolving wireless era. In 2007 Syd Woodward and Harold Richter started The Word — a web based TV series that revolved around thought provoking hip hop culture. Within approximately the next year Syd came up with the idea of Grounded TV, a web based network of culturally and socially relevant content. The Word would be one among many series featured on Grounded TV along with POP’T Culture — a new series with a focus on local and global culture through platforms of activism, music, art, and politics.

MZTV Museum & Archive

At 550 Queen St. E in Toronto, hundreds of antique television sets dating all the way back to the 1920s up until the 70s line the walls of the MZTV Museum of Television. Moses Znaimer, the man behind MuchMusic, Citytv, and Zoomer magazine, has developed something of an obsession with preserving the physical history of television. The MZTV, which features some really cool looking television sets from throughout TV’s history, is a result of this obsession. It’s easy to view the sets as art objects in the elegant setting Znaimer has created. ”Not only are they beautiful,” says Znaimer, “but they are rapidly disappearing.” Here in this museum, a history of television unlike any other in the world has been preserved for all to enjoy. Among Znaimer’s collection lie many unique items, including Marilyn Monroe’s television set, and the original Felix the Cat figurine that was featured in the earliest television images.

1958 Philco Predicta “Pedestal”

Znaimer’s first television set, the one that started the entire collection. Complete with a swivel top, this TV has become the signature set of the entire museum.

Canada Rocks the Capital

Canada Day is approaching and everyone’s ready to celebrate. On July 1 on Parliament Hill, Canada Rocks the Captial will hit Ottawa live and the homes of Canadians on CBC. The event begins at noon with a televised evening show later on which boasts some of Canada’s hottest entertainers including Toronto’s K’ Naan. Canada’s Snowbirds, and CF-18s will also be a part of the show. Tune into CBC at 9pm for a broadcast of the celebration live from the nation’s captial.
