Influenced by the Canadian prairies they call home, Edmonton-based designers Jerad Mack and Shane Pawluk are the forces behind IZM. The craftsmen are responsible for the Iconoclast Dining Table which boasts a design that breaks away from conventional four-leg table designs. This table and other IZM pieces are available at the IZM Showroom in Edmonton and these retailers throughout Canada.

John Mayer Stadium Hoodie by Reigning Champ

Canada’s Reigning Champ got together with American musician John Mayer on their new Stadium Hoodie. Available in grey, black, blue, and green, the hoodie is inspired by the stadium jacket, with the colour of the sleeves differing from the body. White buttons on the front and the artist’s “heart break” logo on the chest add to the aesthetic. The hoodies will be released on July 24th.

Jamie Tancowny x Zero Skateboards

Reigning Champ x Wayne Levin x Kookbox Surfboards

Working with pro-photographer, Wayne Levin, and the folks at Kookbox Surfboards, Edmonton-based lifestyle brand Reigning Champ have released a vintage surf-inspired line for this season. The 2010 Spring/Summer drop showcases custom shirts featuring Wayne Levin prints. In addition, Reigning Champ produced a few custom-crafted surfboards, with Kookbox, which display Levin’s iconic “Duck Dive” image.

HAVEN x Maiden Noir: The Great North Collection

Vancouver and Edmonton-based retailer Haven and American outfitters Maiden Noir have collaborated on a second collection which focuses on the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The collection features heavy flannel overshirts, embroidered tees, beanies, and tote bags. The collection features a new logo made especially for the Winter games, and controversially includes the strictly copyrighted Olympic rings.

Brandon Jan Blommeart’s trash monsters are featured on realistic landscapes giving them an extra sense of liveliness. Brandon was born in Edmonton, but since then has worked mostly out of Calgary. A wide range of work including drawing, painting, sculpting and sound design are staples in Brandon’s career. Combining these crafts, Jan Blommeart has added short animations to his artistic endeavors.

Adidas Canada Skateboard Tour

Andrew McGraw, Charles Rivard, Tyler Maher, Wojtek Zawada, Sam Klassen, and Mike McCourt — members of the Adidas Canada skate team are currently on a nation-wide tour that will see them making stops in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and BC. The team took flight for Montreal on Thursday where they began the 2 week-long tour which will conclude in Vancouver August 9th.
