Iconoclast Dining Table by IZM

Influenced by the Canadian prairies they call home, Edmonton-based designers Jerad Mack and Shane Pawluk are the forces behind IZM. The craftsmen are responsible for the Iconoclast Dining Table which boasts a design that breaks away from conventional four-leg table designs. This table and other IZM pieces are available at the IZM Showroom in Edmonton and these retailers throughout Canada.

Off The Hook x Brakeless Collection

Montreal-based boutiques Off The Hook and Brakeless have collaborated on this collection of biking essentials. Having teamed up with designers Dylan Adair and Jeremy Wirth, they introduce a 5 panel, Quintin-produced hat that features a reflective strap in the back. A messenger bag by Re-Load which features the official OTHxBRKLSS logo, and four graphic tees are included in the collection. The standout item however, is the Sylvester-built custom welt Marinoni bike frame.

No 12c Cuff by Palmer & Sons

Palmer & Sons adds a new cuff to their collection of fine custom leather goods. Available in Oxblood, Dark Plum, London Tan, and Jet Black, the No 12c Cuff features a hand polished chromed pin at the center of the design. Aside from contributing to a modern aesthetic, the pin — worn over or under the loop — serves to adjust the tightness of the cuff. Simple and light, the No 12c is handmade with 10 oz Bridle Leather.

Roots x Douglas Coupland

Raised by Wolves x Furni Summer 2010 Watches

Canadian labels Raised by Wolves and Furni have re-issued their digital watch collaboration this summer. Available in grey, yellow, or green, the PVC watch features Indiglo backlight with phone book, stopwatch, multiple alarms, and dual time functions. The Big L inspired lyric “this ain’t the time to have your wrists freezin” is engraved on the back of the watch. The timepieces are available at Furni ($28 CAN).

Jared Nickerson Covers Computer Arts

Available July 15th, the magazine — specific to character design — features more than 30 of Jared’s colourful characters. Cloud Softlight by Molo Design

Vancouver-based design and production studio Molo Design, introduces Cloud Softlight — an overhead canopy of soft luminous forms which, as its name suggests, resemble clouds. The hollow clouds, made from a 100% recyclable non-woven polyethylene material, are internally lit by LED lighting. Cloud Softlight can be hung in any combination of three sizes of clusters, tailored to the various spaces. Tear, UV, and water resistant, the clouds are extremely durable and are easy to maintain.

Cahoots Seating by Keilhauer x EOOS

Manufactured by Toronto-based furniture specialist Keilhauer, the Cahoots collection, designed by Austria’s EOOS, is based on a modular concept.
