Toronto-based designer Sarah Shell is the brilliant woman behind 442 McAdam, a line of luxury products that have recently moved their headquarters to Ontario’s capital. Originally launched in Calgary, 442 McAdam has been responsible for producing high-quality bags from luxury leather in rich colours and textures. A standout feature remains the signature 442 bronze emblem found on every piece.

SNAP! Issue 11

The latest issue of Montreal quarterly street magazine SNAP! boasts a new 10×16 in. format to showcase some of the most compelling artistic content. A design by Calgary-based mixed media artist Jared Larsen covers the issue which includes commentary on “all things print, publication, and paper — from magazine culture to the decline in newsprint journalism, to discussions with six paper-based artists woking out of Montreal”.

Livestock x Reigning Champ: “Made in Vancouver”

Inspired by the city’s make up of nationalities and natural elements that surround it, together they produced 2 unique hoodies in 2 different Thermal Pro fabrics. Bowen Island Home by Sturgess Architecture

Innovation, appropriateness to context, sustainability, and economic efficiency are recognizable traits in Sturgess Architecture. The Calgary-based firm is responsible for the Bowen Island House, a modern-style home built on a cliff overlooking Howe Sound. Naturally finished slate, cedar shingles and copper coloured roof find appropriateness in the coastal context of the building’s surroundings. The Bowen Island House features a fantastically-designed sheltered deck in the middle of the home. The KO-OP x Quintin: The City Series

The City Series from Canada-based The Ko-op, in collaboration with Quintin features hats from Canada’s top skateboard and lifestyle boutiques. Incorporating elements from shops in eight provinces, the release includes hats for Momentum, Groupseven, Complex, The Tiki Room, Norml, Off The Hook, Blue Tile Lounge, and Flat Spot. You Don’t Exist If I Don’t See You

Alongside a talented cast of Canadian artists, Toronto design team Exploding Motor Car has produced this video for Reverie Sound Revue, an indie pop band out of Calgary. The video which features the track, You Don’t Exist If I Don’t See You, off the bands new LP, was directed by Canadian director and visual artist Jesse Ewles.
